These Terms of Use (the "Terms") are an agreement between you and Vehicle Social Inc. ("Vehicle Social", "we", "us"), Toronto, Ontario, Canada, for the use of vehiclesocial.com and our related services (the "Services"). Dealers are also bound by our Dealer Terms.
By creating an account or using the Services you accept these Terms. Nothing in them limits any right you have as a consumer under the law of your province or territory that cannot be waived by contract.
Vehicle Social is an online marketplace where licensed dealers and private sellers list vehicles, and where buyers search for them and contact sellers. We are not a party to any sale: the contract for a vehicle is between the buyer and the seller. We do not own, inspect or guarantee the vehicles listed, and we do not provide financing.
If you list a vehicle, you confirm that:
Listings from private sellers are reviewed before they appear, and a published listing goes back to review if important details (such as price, mileage or VIN) change significantly. Private listings expire after 30 days unless renewed. We may refuse, edit for formatting, suspend or remove any listing or content that breaks these Terms or the law, and we will tell you why unless the law prevents it.
Vehicle details, history statements (such as "no accidents"), photos and prices come from the seller or from their inventory system, and are shown as provided. Valuations, price estimates, market data and decoded VIN information are estimates from third-party data and automated tools — they are not appraisals or guarantees. Always confirm the details, have the vehicle inspected and check its history before you buy.
When you send an inquiry, book a viewing or submit your vehicle to a dealer, we pass your name, contact details and message to that seller so they can reply. Their use of it is their responsibility. Vehicle Social does not send you marketing messages unless you have opted in separately.
You agree not to:
You keep ownership of the content you post (descriptions, photos, reviews). You give Vehicle Social a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, copy, resize, display and distribute it on the Services and in promoting your listing, for as long as it is on the Services and for a reasonable time afterwards to remove it from caches and backups.
Browsing, searching and contacting sellers is free for buyers. Dealer subscriptions are governed by the Dealer Terms.

The Services, our software, design and brand belong to Vehicle Social or its licensors. If you believe content on the Services infringes your copyright, send a notice to info@vehiclesocial.com identifying the work and the content; we handle notices in line with the Copyright Act (Canada).
We work to keep the Services available and accurate but cannot promise they will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or discontinue features; where a change significantly affects a paid service, we will give reasonable notice.
To the extent permitted by law, the Services are provided "as is". We give no warranty about any vehicle, seller or buyer. This does not exclude any warranty or condition that cannot be excluded under consumer protection law that applies to you.
To the extent permitted by law, Vehicle Social is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses arising from a transaction between users, and our total liability to you relating to the Services is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and CAD $100. These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, including for our gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
You can close your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms or the law, or to protect other users, and will tell you why unless the law or a security concern prevents it.
We will post any change here with a new "Last Updated" date and, for changes that affect your rights or obligations, notify you by email or in the Services at least 30 days before they take effect. If you do not agree, you may close your account before the change takes effect.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If you are a consumer, you may also bring a claim in the courts of the province or territory where you live, and the consumer protection law of that province applies to you. Nothing in these Terms requires you to arbitrate or prevents you from taking part in a class action.
These Terms are written in English. A French version will be made available; if you live in Québec, you may request it at info@vehiclesocial.com and the French version will apply to you.
